Which is your favorite programing Language?

#41

JavaScript by far. It's the language I have the most experience with, and most of my projects are built solely on it. Although I rarely use vanilla JS, I mostly use jQuery or Node.JS for my projects as they are miles better imo Smile

PHP for server-side scripting
C# or C++ for Desktop Applications (Depends on what application I'm making)

I work with PHP and SQL at office, I also do java at times in the office. But I like C++ best, I haven't used python for intensive projects although I know a bit of it. Also my first language was VB and VB.net

For me it has to be Python (but Python 3), for it's simplicity but also for its complexity and capability. Python has a way of just sucking you in with how simple it is, but yet can be used to write very complex programs aswell. I love how expandable python is, how we can just write our own modules, store them in the right place and they are just available to us so easily, and the amount of modules out there already, things you might not even think of but then realise that there is something available to use already! I love coding GUI's using Python 3, Gtk+ 3 and always try to create things that haven't been done before Wink
If I had to choose a second language.. It would be PHP (PHP-7.0 of course), again its super easy to learn but has a quality about it that means it can do some super cool stuff.

I work mostly with forums so I like PHP because that's what they are written with. Therefore, knowing PHP is massively more useful than knowing other languages. Nonetheless, I still think other languages are fascinating and worth the time - especially when you can possibly get high-paying programming jobs.

My favorites are
- bash
- YML (used in playbooks for Ansible)
