So... you Apple guys think Apple is perfect? - Hidden Refuge - 08-17-2018

Hello everyone

This is something to wake up some Apple users/fans who think Apple is perfect and does absolutely nothing wrong and that their products are a "status symbol" and worth what they pay for.

- Apple is absolutely not perfect and far away from good
- Apple creates faulty hardware by design (planned obsolescence no one ever said)
- Apple doesn't bother to fix issues properly over generations
- Apple lies to their customers and fools them
- Apple simply wants your money and nothing else

Watch this videos! The guy runs a 3rd party repair shop and has to deal with a lot of faulty hardware or Apple repairs that are not repairs at all.

TL;DR: Apple is just nothing more than hot air. They want your money and so they create absolutely faulty products and if they repair something it is made to last very short.

If you want to see more videos check the other Louis Rossmann videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/rossmanngroup/videos

Hint: I DO NOT deny that other companies make the same mistakes! However other companies have the balls to say sorry and fix issues properly. Apple however... absolutely blatant scum.

Update from 10.10.2018: a great video about what is going on.

I was actually watching this guy a couple weeks ago :Smile Very informative. I already knew apple was like this but he put it out there clean and dry with facts.

I agree with you regarding Apple's transactions with its customers, but at the same time I disagree with you if you have an Apple phone produced by Apple Inc. You're lucky, as your phone offers features and features not found in Android and other smartphones, Apple apps are more efficient, more complex than Android apps, and more secure..

@Guerbou01

You are totally missing the point here. I didn't say that Apple's software was bad. I know that their software is good because they focus it on their hardware only. So they can optimize it so extremely well that it runs very smooth even on older hardware and so on.

I'm talking about the hardware of Apple, how they treat customers, their repair methods if you can even call it "repairs". All of this... the hardware, customer service and maintenance service. It's absolutely horrible. I feel sorry for Apple customers. Good software isn't going to fix how Apple gets away with treating their customers like crap and fooling them. The planned obsolescence and etc...

You are nothing to Apple unless you pay and pay and pay them. They just want your money. So they do everything to get it by making hardware that is faulty by design and then denying it... and if you send it to repair it will take ages and you will get something but not a repair that will break the device down a later again. You can send it again... but that might cost more than a new device and that is the point where Apple has got you where they wanted you to be -> give them money by buying a brand new and very expensive device.

This is a very true statement.  To make this pay policy inevitable Apple also controls every app to death. With anything one signs up Apple takes complete control. For example the itune thing I think is daylight robbery.  I find it daylight robbery and so wrong for Apple to "own" all of the tunes one has, whether they have been acquired from Apple or not, and then to actually delete those that Apple thinks one shouldn't have for whatever reason - like playing police over the itunes.  This is one of the reasons I've been hesitating to use Apple.  Which is a pity, as there are many good things about Apple I like such as being more structured than Android phones.  But the part I don't like is how controlling and greedy it is.

Ahh classic rossman kek
Anyways, I'm pretty sure not every "apple fan" thinks that apple is perfect. idk why people think of apple as a status symbol as well.

Only apple products I ever used are iPhones so I can only attest to this.
Honestly, they're pretty sturdy compared to other phones. And if you break it, it's super easy to repair. (Looking at you most android phones)

As for customer service, they're the lesser evil compared to other phone manufacturers actually. I've heard a lot of good stories about Apple's Genius Bar as well. (One was replacing a battery and the screen for 30 usd)

As for macs, I don't think buying them makes sense unless you're super rich or something. Build a hackintosh if you want macos lol.

I bought a very cheap second hand Apple 6S iphone a week ago. So far I like it because of its simplicity of use. But not impressed with the battery. Wonder whether this is an Apple battery issue - or just the way iphone works? While in Dubai I probably should try and find one of those Apple workshops where I can get the battery tested.

I would get a new battery. When the batteries are new they work pretty well. With time and age they start to degrade, which is probably what has happened to yours. It just got old.

@deanhills

I agree with coreyman. Look for a serious shop that can replace the battery with a new one. The battery degradation on iPhones is horrible and with the size of them... it is even worse. Apple actually had (maybe still has?) a battery swap programme for iPhone 6 series (includes S and such) because of this bad batteries that were worn down pretty quickly for 29 USD (not sure if that is still running and applies to UAE.

I wouldn't use that repair program. If anything is wrong with your phone, even a little ding, they will not replace the battery. Also wherever he is located I think that it would be cheaper for him to use a local service or just do it himself.
